The Opinion Speaks for Itself... Not!
CCJ/COSCA Annual Meeting ()I was asked to be a panelist at the annual convention for state chief justices and top court administrators. The panel included two justices, a court public-information officer, and a law blogger (that’s me). We discussed some of the concerns about communicating a complex opinion in a way that’s understandable, the different audiences for an appellate opinion, and some issues related to the press and new media.
